Kevin Ollie has removed his name from consideration for the head coaching job of the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to sources.

Ollie has been considered a strong candidate for the job following his success at UConn and relationship with Kevin Durant.

The Thunder are looking for a new head coach following their dismissal of Scott Brooks.

Billy Donovan is also considered a top candidate for the position.

Kevin Ollie is being "seriously considered" by the Oklahoma City Thunder for their head coaching job.

Scott Brooks has been head coach of the Thunder since the 08-09 season when he replaced P.J. Carlesimo. Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Thunder are considering making a change from Brooks.

Ollie was a teammate of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook with the Thunder during his playing career.

Sam Presti has reportedly visited UConn several times recently.
